In the background
Close the window and jigbee keeps working. From then on the menu bar item is the agent's face.
The menu bar item
- The icon pulses while jobs run and shows the count. An orange ! means a job is waiting for you; a dot means one finished while you were away.
- Needs you: each waiting job with its question and the right pair of buttons: Approve / Don't, Keep going / Stop here (spend cap), Allow the Mac / Stay in the browser, I've signed in / Skip this site. You can answer without opening the window.
- Running: elapsed time, spend so far, the current step; Open or Stop.
- Recent: the last few finished jobs; unseen ones marked.
- New Job…: a small panel; type the job, Return. It runs in the background and you hear when it is done.
Settings in the menu
- Menu Bar Only hides the Dock icon; jigbee lives in the menu bar.
- Launch at Login (the app has to be in Applications).
Notifications
When the window is not showing you get a notification when a job finishes, needs an approval, has a question, reaches its spend cap or needs a sign-in. Clicking it opens that session.
Spend cap
Each job pauses at $1 of plan usage by default and asks before going on. Change it in Settings. The stats card shows plan spend per job and where the tokens went.
