What it remembers

Every finished job leaves something behind, so the next one starts further along. All of it is plain JSON on your Mac, readable and deletable in Settings.

Six kinds

KindWhatWhen it is used
profileWho you are, when you say so: name, where you live, your work.Every chat and job.
preferenceWhat you want in general: aisle seats, short answers, a budget habit.Every chat and job.
factDurable facts about your world: home airport, employer, where files go.When the job overlaps them.
procedureThe way a kind of job was done, as 3–10 steps, with how often it worked.Handed to a similar job as its starting plan.
siteHow one website behaves: which control to use, what to wait for, what to skip. The first time a job lands on that site.
outcomeWhat a kind of job came back with, when that is worth keeping on its own. When the job overlaps it.

Plus the journal: what every finished job came back with (the ask, the answer, the report file). A new session asked “what did you find out last time?” answers from it, and names which job it means.

How it compounds

At the end of a job jigbee writes down what would help next time. At the start of a job it recalls the best-matching procedure as a plan (“Starting from what I learned last time” appears in the thread), your preferences and profile, and any notes about the sites involved as it reaches them. The reply shows the comparison with your first run of that kind of job: steps and plan spend.

Jobs under six steps do not teach a procedure; for those a plan costs more than it saves.

Where it lives

~/Library/Application Support/jigbee/memory/
memories.json profile, preference, fact, site, outcome
procedures.json with run history per procedure
journal.json one entry per finished job

Settings → What jigbee remembers lists everything. Forget one entry with the ×, or everything at once. Nothing is sent anywhere except as part of the prompt to the model you chose.

What it will not write down

Passwords, one-time codes, card or account numbers, API keys. Anything that looks like a secret is dropped before it is stored. Your own address can be kept if you give it for a job (a delivery, a flight from home); forget it from Settings any time.
